"World
domination and a nice lunch"
This motto is the guiding force behind Miami, Florida's very own music crusading crime fighters of crap, the Avenging Lawnmowers of Justice. While John Q. Public goes about his daily life, four men have banded together to breavely fight against the dark forces of evil in the music world today. Monotony, Boredom, Tuneless Rap Metal, Insipid Hippie Jam Bands, Singing Dancers, Dancing Singers, Plagiaristic and Derivative Guitar Rock, Lugubrious R&B, Angst Ridden Singer Songwriters, Advertising Campaigns Disguised as Entertainment, The Insidious Boy Band Phenomenom - all of these fall before the mighty sword of Lawnmower Justice. The Mowers sound is instantly recognizable, yet eclectic enough to defy any handy description. Some call it quirky pop. Others call it pop punk. Still others refer to it as quirky pop punk. There are even some who simply avoid the question, hinting that the labeling of musical style is usually the first step of subterfuge in an overall plan to market clothing, jewelry, and other lifestyle accessories to an unsuspecting populace. |
